Destination: Beautiful, with South Africa’s Environ Skincare Line

Readers of this Gorgeous Globetrotter blog know that I am concerned – no, make that obsessed – with good skin, and all of the top skincare lines out there in the marketplace. Recently, on a trip to Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Mass., I had the good fortune to experience an Environ facial – pure bliss! After my posh pampering, I obtained some Environ products that the aesthetician recommended for me.

If you are not familiar with Environ, it is a top skincare line that is dedicated to the never-ending pursuit of beautiful skin. These products were pioneered by Dr. Des Fernandes, a world-renowned South African plastic and reconstructive surgeon, who believed, more than 20 years ago, in the use of vitamin A, in high doses, in skincare. Dr. Fernandes realized long ago that effective cosmetics of the future must contain adequate amounts of vitamin A, vitamin C, antioxidants, as well as peptides and growth factors, to create cutting-edge results. The result of his beliefs? Environ.

Environ products are developed and formulated to achieve maximum effectiveness thanks to vitamins, growth factors, biopeptides and other proven ingredients. Most are nonfragranced, and all are non-comedogenic, with no animal testing. I tried the Ionzyme range, which helps to address the visible signs of aging. My absolute favorite formulation is the C-Quence Serums 1-4 – I slather on these serums, and my complexion looks more even-toned and more radiant. It quite visibly diminished the appearance of my fine lines and wrinkles, thanks to its award-winning formulations. I also fell deeply in love with the C-Quence Cleanser, which has a delightful aroma that made washing my face a pleasure. This luxurious, hydrating cleanser removed make-up and surface oils, yet maintained the acid balance of my skin. The C-Quence Toner contains Matrixyl 3000 and Niacinamide to assist in the visible reduction of uneven skintone. And with summer coming up, don’t forget to use Environ’s sunscreen, SPF 25, to protect your skin.
